Project Approach: Morgan Sindall secured the £19 million contract with Maro Developments to construct the new Matalan office building at the former Petrolite site at Knowsley Industrial Park. The project, forming part of Matalan’s new headquarters, is built on a 15 acre site and provides 132,000 sq ft of fully serviced office facilities. Matalan's headquarters have been designed to a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) ‘Very Good’ rating, incorporating sustainable technologies for power, heating and cooling and will also provide opportunities to link into a possible future on-site energy generation facility in a separate building. Longworth was contracted to supply and install the Kingspan K20 Benchmark Rainscreen system and ACM rainscreen in Traffic Red & Black Grey casings.

Project Approach: New build project with 1,500m2 roof area (16,150 ft2) prime location within the regenerated southern gateway to the city. £500m creative and commercial development designed by Ian Simpson Architects, including the 4-star 11-storey Innside hotel. The Fatra UK singly ply membrane was fixed using SFS's ® induction welding system. SFS's solution provided economic installation costs and mechanical fixings to handle higher wind loads. had a regular site presence for on-site training, testing and general support.

Project Approach: Finalist in the UK Roofing Awards 2016. SFS worked closely with Delomac to develop a compliant specification incorporating A5 grade stainless steel fasteners, aluminium s and robust sealant strips to refurbish this leisure centre with corrosion-resistant fasteners. provided site-based testing, plus an excellent supply service throughout the contract.

Project Approach: supplied a fastening system to suit a modified build up of a Vieo application from Euroclad which included the addition of 2 layers of a Gypsum based board onto a bar & brack system prior to the Euroclad Vieo external finish.

Project Approach: Wall Cladding Solution: Zinc and copper cladding fixed to various composite panels required a low profile, high grade stainless steel solution with excellent pull out values. The solution was the SX2/8-D9-4.8x22 in A4 316 austentitic stainless steel self drilling fastener - which gives excellent pull out values and reduces over driving due to the thread design.
Roof Solution: The TIA adjustable fastener system was used due to its ability to reduce fastener and polypropelene sleeve combinations by 50% and reduce drilling from between 50 to 70%.

Project Approach: Sarnafil's single ply roofing system was specified for the refurbishment of the University of Aberdeen's Meston Building, originally designed by Sir Robert Robinson in 1952. The refurbishment required a 40 year warranty for the 2,000m2 roof and it was completed in stages to ensure the building could be used as per its operational schedules. Other University buildings, such as The Hub, the two libraries, the School of Education's MacRobert Building, the Cruickshank and the Powarth Buildings also feature Sarnafil roofs that complement the University's 1930s aesthetics.

Project Approach: The London 2012 Velodrome’s highly distinctive form – an award-winning, double-curving, structure designed to reflect the shape of the cycling track – used a range of extremely efficient design solutions that helped make it one of the most sustainable buildings of its kind. We supplied Prater with fasteners for the complex cable net roof structure, the first of its kind, incorporating 13,000 sqm of aluminium metal standing seam roof, eight 100 m long roof lights, 420 lm of bullnose to the perimeter and 22 movement joints. The architect’s vision was to create a bullnose perimeter that flowed and wrapped over the roof shape but that also met demanding sustainability targets.
